Modena is a borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 535 at the 2010 census. It was originally called Modeville, after the local Mode family.Modena is located at 39°57′44″N 75°48′8″W / 39.96222°N 75.80222°W / 39.96222; -75.80222.According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.3 square miles, all of it land.At the 2010 census, the borough was 56.6% non-Hispanic White, 22.6% Black or African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.6% Asian, and 5.0% were two or more races. 17.4% of the population were of Hispanic or Latino ancestry [1].As of the census of 2000, there were 610 people, 200 households, and 160 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,847.4 people per square mile. There were 211 housing units at an average density of 639.0 per square mile. The racial makeup of the borough was 75.57% White, 18.03% African American, 0.49% Native American, 1.80% from other races, and 4.
